Not Your Typical 4-Month-Old

At four months of age, MiMi is almost fully sitting up on her own, sitting in her high chair to eat peas, sweet potatoes, and green beans, and mocks the sounds she hears us make. This is a video of her eating a few days ago.

MiMi came to visit me at work today! :( It was bitter sweet. I was thankful that she lives close enough that when I am needing a "MiMi fix," she can come and see me or vice versa. I'm so thankful that I'll be able to see her any and every day of the week, whenever I want, wherever I want, whatever we want to do, in the very near future. Praise God!

MiMi trying to figure out where she is and who's holding her.

Oh now I see someone I know!

Someone knows how to pose for the camera...

Bathtime with Mila Jade (A.K.A. Great pictures for black mail when she turns 16)

What is it about babies and their toes? Every time we take Mila's socks and shoes off, ZOOM! She sticks her feet in her mouth. It's like her hands just gravitate to those little pink toes. It's the cutest thing in the world. But yesterday she had 'toe breath,' and that wasn't so cute.

Bath time's done!

And for the finished product:

Nothing Starts Your Day Like a Good Cup of Joe

Mama has a coffee cup that she uses quite frequently and MiMi LOVES it. So today, we decided that Mila was old enough for her first good cup of Joe.

Sike!

I'm scooching...but soon to be crawling.

But I am sitting up all by myself! :)

AS IF You Had To Ask...I'm A Morning Person!

Mila HAS to be a morning person because I've never seen someone wake up as happy as she does. I can't imagine the way I look 5 minutes after I wake up....but Mila, Mila is ALWAYS perfect!
This is a picture I snapped of MiMi this morning after I woke her up. Precious!

" I'm awake...I'm awake!"

She found her foot. She's been putting her toes in her mouth this last month. I hope she grows out of that!

" I Make Chunky Thighs Look Good. "

With the changing seasons, we've had to start covering our little princess up. Our own little spin on the South Park kids.

MiMi the Bully?!

First there's the hair pulling.

Then there's shoving.

Then there's tugging.

And finally, the body slam. I'm afriad that Mila's been hanging out with her Aunt Tina a LITTLE too much....

No, not really, but I thought those were pretty funny pictures.

Need A Hand? I've Got Two!

Saturday and Sunday I was in Little Rock for business, but still managed to keep in touch with the family. So guess who decided to hold their bottle for the first time on their own while I was gone? Mila Jade. Babies are so unpredictable. You think it's just "eat, poop, cry, laugh." There's SO much more than just that!
Look at our little princess growing up right before our eyes....

Happy Month-day!

Happy 4-month Birthday, Mila! So today is Mila's 4th month on the earth. Isn't it amazing how quickly time flies? Today as I was leaving, I looked at her and said, "Happy Birthday, Beautiful." And she just giggled and smiled and blew spit bubbles. That's the way it's supposed to be.

"Hey Mommy, look what I can do now!"

Uh.....no comment.

Mila: "Hey Aunt Tina, did you ever get those tickets?"

Me: "What tickets?"

Mila: "Tickets to the GUN SHOW!"

Did You Have Your Wheaties For Breakfast?

Even though she's just 3 months, we've been feeding Mila rice, cereal, basically ANYTHING pediatrician-approved to help satisfy her tummy. Lord, I never knew a baby could eat that much! So this morning, we joked that Mila had her Wheaties. Michael Jordan is smiling somewhere in America...

You know how people say "My Little Angel," well here's proff that Mila really WAS sent from Heaven above.

Have you ever seen the commercial where the people are walking around with what they ate for breakfast hanging around their wastes? I guess Mila had a sprinkle donut for breakfast.

Move over Lebron! Future Basketball Player in the House!

Do you like my ribbon?

It's so tiring being beautiful...but someone has to do it. (P.S. Kiss my TOES)

Someone's going to be crawling before too long...

Elmo the Gangster?!

Mila will be 4 months old in 2 days. I'm so excited! For a 3 month old, she's SUPER intelligent. She's already trying to sit up on her own. This is her and Papi (her granddad) playing in the living room. There's nothing better than spending quality time with the people you'd do anything to make happy.

Mila's favorite song in the whole world is "See The Signs" where Chris Brown guest appears on Sesame Street beside Elmo. So last night we're watching her favorite song and the video on Youtube. Mila dances like any other baby: the wobble wobble butt dance. You know, the one where they bend their knees and bounce up and down. That one.

"I'm the Queen of the World!" Yes you are!

Anyways, Mila loves everything Elmo. Elmo, Elmo, Elmo. He's a great kid, but quite frankly, there's something about that laugh that I don't quite trust. Almost like a sweet, angelic, cuddly child toy, but underneath all that sugary sweetness is the GANGSTA!

Ok, I'm done with that one.

Look Ma, I'm Pierced!

So yesterday we took Mila to get her ears pierced (ah!) at the mall. She was such a great sport. In retrospect, for a 3-month-old, she handled herself like the little lady that she is. Ross, the manager at Icing in the mall that pierced her ears, just loved her. Between the smiling and giggling, cooing, and batting of the eyelashes, I think Mila left with a pair or yellow gold earrings AND a boyfriend. Touche!
